With the DIAMOND and CRYSTAL warranty programs, for vehicles that are still under manufacturer's warranty, it is now possible to extend the warranty for vehicles with up to 6 years of factory warranty and increase mileage for vehicles with 7-year factory warranty.

DEFEND has extended the range of insurance limits for its most popular MAX programme, including a combination with the XS variant. There are now three limits – EUR 20,000, EUR 35,000 and EUR 50,000.

More and more clients are taking advantage of the option to arrange an extended warranty for their vehicle while they purchase it, but now, it's also possible to arrange a warranty during the vehicle service.

In Slovakia, DEFEND presented a new addition to its portfolio, an assistance service called Carlife Assistance. The product is available exclusively for the Slovak network consisting of twelve AAA AUTO branches. It was created in cooperation with AXA ASSISTANCE CZ.

The range of DEFEND products has expanded with our new addition called DEFEND AllSafe. It is a package containing car security markings that utilize a unique VIN code together with an assistance service. The product is available exclusively in the AAA AUTO.

DI has completed the connection of its iDEFEND insurance contract registration system with the Caris software. It is developed and provided by TEAS, the largest supplier of special software for the automotive segment (DMS) in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

We are pleased to announce that our DEFEND Gap product line is being expanded with the new DEFEND Gap DIRECT program. Being the only one in the DEFEND Gap range which can be negotiated with no connection to vehicle purchase.

Cooperation with Fortegra brings its first benefit for partners and customers of DEFEND INSURANCE. Starting 1 November 2019 we are changing the eligibility conditions in Slovakia for DEFEND Car Protect ADVANTAGE, COMFORT and PLUS products.

DEFEND INSURANCE GROUP introduces a new corporate identity, which marks the start of a new era for us. The changes, which are inspired by our acquisition by Fortegra and our mutual aim for Pan-European growth, are planned to be completed by mid-2020.

DEFEND INSURANCE GROUP closed a very successful third quarter, which was also our first period with Fortegra by our side. We registered 49,000 policies, a total GWP value of € 22.5 million making it a growth of 21.6 % compared to the same period last year.

Czech-based company DEFEND INSURANCE s.r.o. has become an associate member of the Association of Czech Insurance Brokers and together with 72 other members will be involved in shaping the future of the insurance market.

After winning the tender of the Hungarian importer of PSA, Emil Frey Magyarország, DEFEND INSURANCE Kft. have become an authorized DS Certified used car warranty provider.

DIG, in the second quarter of 2019, recorded excellent results and also dynamic development topped with completion of the acquisition. Thanks to the outstanding performance of all our subsidiaries, we have reached €21.6 million in gross written premiums.

DIG today announces a new partnership with Fortegra Financial Corporation. Effective 1 July, Fortegra acquired a majority stake in Ingenasys, Ltd., the parent holding company of DIG to help further strengthen DEFEND’s insurance market position.    

DEFEND INSURANCE GROUP has closed the first quarter of 2019 with a great success. Thanks to our branches, we have reached € 20.6 million in gross written premium, registered a record 43,400 insurance policies, which resulted in 27% growth.

On 1st January 2019, DEFEND INSURANCE officially launched its partnership with Lloyd’s Insurance Company S.A. (Lloyd’s Brussels). The newly established company is fully operational, authorised and regulated by the National Bank of Belgium.

The results of DIG for 2018 confirm the significant growth of the whole group and its stable position as one of the leading providers of supplementary car insurance. Year-on-year the newly registeredinsurance contracts increased by 31 %.

After negotiations between DIG and Business Lease, both parties have come to an international contract agreement. Covering 4 countries, DEFEND INSURANCE GROUP will be providing extended warranties for vehicles with expired operational leases. 

The business results of DEFEND INSURANCE GROUP in the third quarter exceeded our expectations. We managed to surpass 40,300 concluded insurance contracts, which is a 31% increase compared to the same period last year.

DIG in the second quarter of 2018, has been successful in fulfilling its long-term strategy for developing the company and strengthening its position on the car insurance market in Central and Eastern Europe.

On May 14, 2018 the Slovak branch of DIG became a member of AFISP, the Association of Financial Intermediaries and Financial Advisers, an organization with the ambition to represent the professional interests of financial intermediaries and financial advisors.

The first quarter of 2018 was very positive for DIG, we achieved sales and profit growth with more than 23 000 contracts concluded, the equivalent of an increase of 27% compared with the previous year. All this contributed to the best performance in group’s history.

Today Ingenasys s.r.o. announced that it has completed the acquisition of 60% of the shares in DEFEND INSURANCE GROUP s.r.o. (hereinafter "DIG” or "the Company") and its affiliates from DEFEND Group a.s. for an undisclosed sum.
