DEFEND INSURANCE GROUP enters the German market
Leading specialty insurance administrator is now operating in 8 European countries
PRAGUE, Czech Republic (1st September 2022) – Following its recent expansion into Lithuania, DEFEND
INSURANCE GROUP ("DIG") is also entering the German market. This is the eighth country in which the Central
European market leader in the field of specialty car insurance is active. In Germany, DIG is offering
its extended warranties for used cars from today onwards through its strategic partner Driverama, a company
specialising in online trading of used cars.
DIG is also expanding its core product line of DEFEND Car Protect extended warranties to the West and
has been selling them in Germany as of September. The strategic partner for this market is the fast-growing
company Driverama, founded by the AURES Holdings group, which operates, among other things, the AAA AUTO
car centre network.

The DEFEND Car Protect extended warranty can be arranged in Germany for vehicles up to 8 years old with
a maximum mileage of 200,000 kilometres. This is ideal for Driverama's clients, because Driverama offers
vehicles with an average age of 4 years. Protection at the level of the manufacturer warranty can be arranged
for up to 3 years. The insurer of DEFEND Car Protect warranties is Fortegra Europe Insurance Company Limited
with a prestigious A- rating from AM Best. Customers in Germany can therefore also rely on the financial
strength and quality of this leading international insurance company.
